Wiseprint ElectroInk – Real Feedback from South America: From Cautious Testing to Monthly Bulk Orders
In the Hp Indigo consumables market, there are still many users who remain cautious about compatible inks. Concerns around print stability, long-term reliability, and production risk often make them hesitate to take the first step.
However, at the same time, a growing number of forward-thinking print shops have already moved ahead — shifting from small trials to stable monthly bulk purchasing, building a new cost structure around compatible Electroink.
Today, we share real feedback from one of our customers in South America, who has already taken this step.
“We didn’t trust it at first — so we tested again and again.”
“Al principio no queríamos arriesgarnos con tinta compatible. La calidad de impresión es demasiado importante para nosotros.”
The customer started exactly like most conservative users — cautious, skeptical, and only willing to test in very limited production.
The first stage was simple: small sample testing on selected jobs.
But after the initial run, instead of rushing into adoption, they decided to repeat the tests under different conditions — different substrates, longer print runs, and more color-intensive jobs.
From repeated testing to production validation
“Hicimos varias pruebas más antes de tomar una decisión real.”
After multiple rounds of testing, the result became clearer:
- No unexpected instability in continuous printing
- Improved control in production consistency
- Acceptable performance in real job environments, not just lab conditions
At this stage, the conversation shifted from “Can we trust it?” to “How can we integrate it into production safely?”
From test orders to long-term agreement
Once confidence was built, the customer gradually moved forward:
- First small batch order for production validation
- Then expanded usage across regular jobs
- Eventually signed a stable supply agreement for monthly bulk orders
“Ahora ya no es solo una prueba. Es parte de nuestra producción mensual.”

The real impact: cost structure change, not just ink change
One of the most important changes was not technical — but financial.
By gradually integrating Wiseprint ElectroInk into their HP Indigo workflow, the customer achieved a noticeable reduction in overall consumables cost, while maintaining stable production output.
Instead of treating compatible ink as an “alternative,” it became part of a structured cost optimization strategy — especially for repeat jobs with predictable quality requirements.
A clear divide in the market
What we are seeing in the South American market is increasingly clear:
Some users are still waiting for the “perfect moment” to try compatible ink.
Others have already moved — carefully, step by step — and are now operating with a more competitive cost base.
The gap between these two groups is no longer technical. It is strategic.
